As I've said time and time again, all elected government officials and the employees in charge of this county's operations departments should be held accountable just like everybody else who has a job. When it comes to job performance and dereliction of duty, do good and expect a promotion...fuck up and you get fired. The areas that got destroyed by the flood waters from the unprepared channels should have never happened. Our elected officials knew about this problem from past flood damages but did not do a damn thing. Now comes the blame it on somebody or something else game, we get to hear from our Mayor and Deputy Chiefs Operation Officer as they go on TV and blame it on the storm of a life time. Their bullshit excuses are like a hot potato, the blame gets tossed from the Mayor on down the line, I heard the Mayor blame weather forecasters for lack of proper notification. These officials haven't got the balls to admit that they screwed up and didn't do their jobs. Well assholes you now fuckin know the problem areas, how about fixing them before the next storm of a life time. The roads were bad before this storm and now they are worse with giant deep potholes. Our tax dollars that should have been used to fix these problems will now be used to pay off the vast amount of lawsuits that are coming. These idiots running this town failed us, they royally fucked up and should be fired.
